AUTOMATIC lessons

01723 - 500600

We don’t have an automatic car.

Business hours 8:45am until 5:00pm, Monday to Friday

Each lesson will begin at the pre-booked time, even if the pupil has not entered the car yet. Where the instructor may arrive slightly late for a lesson due to circumstances beyond their control, the instructor will make efforts to extend the ‘finish’ time of the lesson by the same amount of time or add the time onto the following lesson.

You must agree to have regular lessons of at least one a week (except for holidays, illness etc), otherwise we may refuse to continue lessons with you, due to lack of commitment.

The pupil may be permitted to use the training car for their driving test only if the driving instructor is satisfied that the pupil is at the required standard, and has passed at least two consecutive mock driving tests with us. The cost of the use of the training car for the driving test period is payable.

Payment for lessons are due at the start of each lesson, unless prepaid. Payments can be made using cash or by cheque or BACS. Cheques should be made payable to Iain or Lynne Hall. All prepaid lessons are non-refundable and prices will be honoured for a period of 6 months only. Any unused lessons after 6 months have elapsed will become void and non-refundable. Refunds may be made in exceptional circumstances but will be subject to a £25 admin fee and will be issued within four weeks of request.

If you wish to cancel or rearrange a lesson then at least 48 hours notice is required.

In the event of a ‘no show’ (when the pupil has forgotten the lesson), or cancellation of the lesson with less that 48 hours notice, the cost of the whole lesson will still be payable.

Your Instructor reserves the right to postpone lessons if they feel that the weather or road conditions are unsuitable or dangerous. Your Instructor cannot be held responsible for any costs incurred as a result of them having to postpone any lesson for whatever reason.

The instructor reserves the right to cancel a lesson at short notice if it is suspected that the pupil is unfit to drive due to the effects of alcohol, drugs, excessive tiredness or any other condition that would cause dangerous driving. In such circumstances, the lesson fee would still be payable.

Neither the Instructor nor the pupil will smoke in the vehicle during or any time after lessons. It would also be appreciated if mobile phones are turned off for your lesson to avoid any potentially dangerous distractions.

If, at any point during your driving lessons with Hall Driving School, you wish to have a break from lessons (for whatever reason), please inform your instructor by text/phone/email as soon as possible. Your instructor will understand and won’t put any pressure on you to continue with your lessons! If you take a lesson break of two weeks or more, without informing your instructor, you may be removed from our books to make way for a new pupil.
