All lessons are on a ‘one to one’ basis ..... there will be no car sharing or pupil
doubling up. If, however, you would like to be accompanied by a Parent or friend
at any time during your lesson that’s fine -
We passed our driving tests (car & motorbike), first time, many years ago. Standards

Whether you are 17 or 70, you will find us patient, friendly, kind and reliable. Hall Driving School was established in 2008 and since then we’ve taught hundreds of new drivers and helped to improve the skills of experienced, nervous and older drivers too. With our calm and relaxed teaching methods, following DVSA national standards, we will give you the ability and confidence to be out on the road.
We teach in MANUAL, petrol engine Ford KA’s, which are ideally suited to learning
in as they are very easy to drive and manoeuvre and will suit anybody, short or tall.
The cars also have hill start assist to help with those tricky hill starts! Both
cars have ‘He-
In addition to the standard mirrors on the cars, we have added two ‘blind spot’ mirrors to the door mirrors; these make manoeuvres so much easier as you are able to see exactly where the car is in relation to the kerb, centre line and in the case of bay parking, the bay! Unlike many driving Schools, we encourage the use of mirrors during a reversing manoeuvre as the Highway Code tells you to (Rule 202), as long as you look “mainly through the rear window”.
FEMALE instructor available!
After having two previous driving instructors due to moving to different cities, I chose Hall driving school with the intent of finally passing my test (first time!). I was impressed with the amount of support & encouragement given by Iain and was really grateful as I am not always the most positive person! I felt comfortable driving with Iain straight away and he really built up my confidence all the way up until my last lesson. A very good, patient and friendly instructor who I owe passing my test first time to! Thanks (Sonal)
With no self confidence it took me a week to phone up to book a lesson with Lynne. I am so glad I took the plunge and did it . I was immediately put at ease and filled with confidence; in no time I passed my test and my life has no changed forever. I can not thank this wonderful couple enough for such a great experience, my kids love them also and want to learn with them which I hope they get to do.
